Influencing change
We influence change through intersectional programmes in the workplace, education institutions and with government.
STEM learning for Africa's next generation
We foster inclusion, innovation and empowerment through technical skills and STEM learning resources — helping young people become self-reliant problem-solvers for Africa's economy.
✳ Africa by us, for us — one community at a time.
Our approach
We invite people to help inspire a generation of innovators and problem-solvers. Our programmes connect STEM learning to community service, practical skills and new possibilities.
We influence change through intersectional programmes in the workplace, education institutions and with government.
We empower educators and young people, especially underrepresented groups, to succeed in STEM careers.
We work with organisations to implement sustainable projects that strengthen local communities.

What we do
From educator development to hands-on challenges, our programmes help young people build confidence and use STEM to solve problems around them.
Investing in educators, schools and the learning spaces where young talent begins.
Building routes into technology, leadership and entrepreneurship for women and girls.
Creating places to experiment, collaborate and turn ideas into real-world solutions.
Community engagement, sustainability and partnerships are at the heart of how we work.

When people have room to experiment, learn and share, new paths open up. These are a few of the voices behind the work.
Our junior high school have participated in the yearly STEMNovation bootcamp for girls and there has been great application of physical computing. Most importantly, they always look forward to the demo day where they get to express their achievements in building, designing better prototypes and interacting with the design engineers for feedback to do better.
Science and Math have become exciting for me. I look forward to problem-solving because through the STEMi Ambassador program, I have learned new concepts to apply using games and puzzles.
The tech training is the most immersive learning experience that I had ever been through. It helped provide the tools that I needed to make a career change, into the world of tech.
“I got an internship opportunity as a Junior analyst with a great startup and room to develop my skills.” Blessing Binutu, Nigeria
“The STEMite tournament was an unforgettable experience as I got to compete and develop my project with an expanded knowledge from my mentor at the Project Kuongoza program.” Sarah Arumah, Kenya
Made in community
Our activities connect STEM interest to practical application and the social and economic opportunities that follow. Young people learn to solve problems, collaborate and make a better future.
